By using thetakehomepaycalculator.com ("the website"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using the calculator or any other content on this site.

Guidance Only — Not Financial Advice

The results provided by the take home pay calculator are for guidance and estimation purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any kind. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy by using the latest HMRC-published tax rates, the calculator cannot account for every individual circumstance (e.g., benefits in kind, multiple employments, self-employment income, marriage allowance, or HMRC adjustments to your tax code).

You should not rely solely on the calculator's output for making financial decisions. If you require advice on your specific tax situation, please consult a qualified tax adviser, accountant, or contact HMRC directly.

Accuracy and Limitations

The calculator uses Income Tax bands, National Insurance thresholds, student loan repayment rates, and Personal Allowance figures published by HMRC for the 2026/27 UK tax year. We update these figures each April when new rates are announced. However:

  • Results are estimates based on the information you provide and standard HMRC assumptions
  • The calculator does not handle self-employment income, dividends, or rental income
  • Benefits in kind, company cars, and private medical insurance are not included
  • Marriage allowance transfers and other allowances beyond the standard Personal Allowance are not modelled
  • Employer NI contributions (which don't reduce your take-home pay) are not displayed

thetakehomepaycalculator.com is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by HMRC, HM Government, the NHS, MoneySavingExpert, Martin Lewis, or any employer, payroll provider, or financial institution.
